Varannan damernas*

*As we say in Swedish when women have the same rights as men. (Varannan = every second)

But now I am not going to talk about equality. I want to talk about what criminals are doing with our society. Because every second time anything happens it seems to be "Made of criminals".

When someone succeed in doing something - someone reaches her goals, gets elected, wins a prize or just succeed in communicate a message to the crowd, criminals want to take revenge. Within 24 hours they commit a crime, often with violence, weapons, threats or some kind of fraud.

The more goals successful people reach, the worse crimes seems to be committed. And criminals seem to be more frustrated if a woman is having success, is reaching her goal, or just make her voice heard.

In Sweden we have Greta Thunberg, extremely successful in getting her message out to both world leaders, teenagers, journalists and others. And yesterday she held a speech in the Swedish radio as the first “summer speaker” of the year. Listened to by journalists in other countries, and BBC both sent her speach and published an article about her.

In the evening there was a knife attack in Reading where three people were killed.

Was it a revenge? Or a random attack? Why did those three have to lose their lives? Why in Reading? Had it something to do with the BLM-protest? Or was it the success of a young women in Sweden that the killer couldn´t handle?

Crimes don´t know any borders. A crime committed in New Zeeland or Great Britain can have connections with someone in Sweden or Italy. To stop crimes we have to cooperate all over the globe. Exactly as Thunberg does when she is engaging world leaders, teenagers and others in the hard work with saving the planet.
